Kesteven 3rds were well prepared for this match with only having 14 players minutes before kick off. Fortunatley Tony Smith snr arrived to save the day. Kesteven also sent home 3 other players to fetch their kit after a couple of no shows from the regular 3rd team

Following that disciplined start Stamford unsuprisingly started the better of the two teams, driving Kesteven into their own half. Stamford got the initial break through with a well taken try from the winger. The try was converted ...

Kesteven U18s: 36 - Loughborough U18: 7

K’s started brightly and within 5 minutes Sam Durrance opened the scoring after a clever break by fly half Ash Holvey. Justin Dingley added the conversion. A second try quickly followed after slick handling by the three quarters released flying winger Grant Ward to score in the corner. These early successes gave K’s a false sense of this game being a stroll in the park as Loughborough rallied and started using their large pack to drive and maul their ...

KESTEVEN 2NDS 13 vs 7 DERBY VETS

Kesteven renewed their rivalry with Derby Vets on Saturday expecting a hard, physical encounter from last year’s league runners up.

The game proved to be everything that was expected and more with a determined Derby side giving the globetrotters their sternest test of the year so far. Despite fielding the strongest squad of the season so far Kesteven were immediately under pressure as the rampant Derby forwards seeked to gain the early initiative. ...

Kesteven U18s welcomed Market Rasen to a sunny though windy Woodnook, determined to continue their winning ways in the Three-Counties U18 League.

Notts penant Group 5

Kesteven 3rds 5 Notts Casuals 3rds 14.

Ross Penman's 3rd XV took on Notts Casuals for their 2nd match of the season fielding a side showing an amazing 13 changes from their first match, introducing a number of players playing their first match of the season.

Both sides tackled the game with a refreshing attitude, being keen to play open rugby from the start. There was some good enterprise and only stout defence kept the score down.
